Bio

Dhr. Dr. L.M. (Léon) Putman is cardio-thoracaal chirurg en is per 1 januari 2020 in vervolgopleiding tot congenitaal cardiothoracaal chirurg/kinderhartchirurg. Hij werkt binnen het CAHAL op beide locaties.

Tussen 2011 en 2018 volgde hij zijn opleiding tot cardio-thoracaal chirurg aan het Universitair Medisch Centrum Schleswig-Holstein in Lübeck, Duitsland onder leiding van Prof. Dr. Hans-Hinrich Sievers.

In 2015 promoveerde hij aan de Universiteit van Lübeck op het onderwerp: “Anatomic correction of transposition of the great arteries with a physiological, spiral anastomosis: Construction of a model and in-vitro results of the anastomoses”.

Sinds juli 2018 is hij werkzaam binnen het Hart Long Centrum Leiden.
